چکیده
Traumatic pseudoaneurysms of the ophthalmic artery (OphA) are a rare phenomenon.1,2 They can result in subarachnoid hemorrhage if they occur within the dura. Left untreated these lesions are dangerous and have a very high risk of rehemorrhage. In these cases, the acute angulation of the OphA off the internal carotid artery, the proximal location of these intradural lesions and the inability to achieve distal microwire purchase make the catheterization and coil embolization of these lesions challenging. We utilized a deflectable tip microcatheter for the treatment of this lesion. This publication describes the use of a deflectable tipped microcatheter in a case of a traumatic intradural pseudoaneurysm of the OphA treated by endovascular therapy. We review the techniques which were applied to take best advantage of the unique properties of this novel microcatheter and facilitate the catheterization and dense coil packing of this difficult aneurysm.

Traumatic Supratrochlear Artery Pseudoaneurysm With Spontaneous Resolution
Background: Traumatic pseudoaneurysm of the supratrochlear artery is a rare lesion. It manifests, as a painless mass, in the frontal region following trauma. The unusual incidence and confusing presentation require the clinicians to thoroughly understand its presentation and diagnosis. Diagnosis is typically made on history and physical examination, but it can be confirmed by duplex ultraso...
متن کاملPost-traumatic Cavernosal Artery Pseudoaneurysm Presenting as Right Hip Pain: An Imaging Evaluation
Pseudoaneurysm of the cavernosal artery is quite rare. Herein, we describe color Doppler findings of post-traumatic pseudoaneurysm of the right cavernosal artery in a 19-year-old adolescent boy who presented with right hip pain. Doppler showed turbulence of flow with arterial inflow and outflow from the aneurysm. Selective transarterial catheterization of the internal iliac and internal pudenta...
متن کاملBilateral Ophthalmic Artery Dissecting Aneurysms Presenting with Recurrent Epistaxis.
We present a rare case of bilateral expanding traumatic pseudoaneurysms of the ophthalmic arteries, due to a gunshot. The aneurysms presented with epistaxis. After a failure of conservative management, coil embolization of the aneurysms resulted in complete occlusion, with preservation of flow in the parent vessels.
متن کاملClinical Analysis of Traumatic Cerebral Pseudoaneurysms
OBJECTIVE Traumatic pseudoaneurysms are rare but life-threatening lesions. We investigated the patients with these lesions to clarify their clinical characteristics and therapeutic strategies and we also reviewed the literatures on the treatment principles, possible options, and outcomes. METHODS There were a total of 8 patients who were treated with traumatic intracranial pseudoaneurysms bet...
